Sophia Rodionov is a professional visual artist working in watercolour and mixed media, based in Israel. With a BFA in Visual Arts from Haifa University and over two decades of artistic practice, her work has been widely exhibited in Europe, the United States, and Worldwide.
Since 2019, Sophia has served as a co-representative of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) Israel, actively teaching, exhibiting, and hosting international watercolor events both online and in person. Her artistic language is shaped by East-Asian philosophy, a deep connection to nature, and an ongoing exploration of space, perception, and emotional presence.
Working at the edge between abstraction and reality, Sophia uses watercolor and mixed media to create paintings that feel both grounded and intuitive. Her retreats offer an immersive experience into this approach — a guided journey into attentive seeing, expressive freedom, and creating art as a conscious, meaningful process rather than a purely technical exercise.
